Me, my Shelf, and I is my version of a recap post,
and also a feature to tell you more about myself.
However, this is a special edition to wrap up my reading year 2015 with a few statistics.
My Reads in Numbers
Total # of books read: 76 (div. novella series counting as one)
2015 Releases: 35 | pages read: 21,372
I'm not exactly counting, but I've definitvely read more adult books this year, and since they are mostly contemporary, my paranormal and fantasy fetish got levelled out. I think I'll keep this trend up, I like the balance.
All books I read in 2015 with links to their reviews >> here <<
Hard Heart Challenge: 5 / 13 | ARC-Kill April: 6 / 4
Fur & Fangs Challenge: 11 / 10 | Witches & Witchcraft Challenge: 1 / 3
Series Reading Points: -74 / 100
So I managed to finish 3 of 5 challenges... I'm just no good with this kind of stuff. I'm not so sure if I'm doing any in 2016, b/c really, I don't see the point. Maybe a year without any reading pressure will do me good. 😉
Top 5 Books of 2015
YA Paranormal / Fantasy
Contemporary / Erotica
Book you were excited about and thought you were going to love but didn’t? The City of Fallen Angels by Kristi Charish. I liked it well enough, but didn't love it head over heels like book one.
Most beautifully written & Most thought-provoking book? It's a Wonderful Death by Sarah J. Schmitt
Favorite Cover of the year? Kill Me Softly
Best series you started in 2015? The Host by Stephenie Meyer, I think, if there will ever be a sequel. Otherwise the Moroad MC series by Debra Kayn and The Djinn Order series by A. Star have the most potential. Best Sequel of 2015? Birdges Burned by Chris Cannon and Tough Love by Lori Foster. Best Series Ender of 2015? Forever (Wolves of Mercy Falls 3) by Maggie Stiefvater.
