I think I had a pretty good start into the new year, but I sure didn't need to be sick three full weeks in March. Work is going okay so far, got some money in, and I'm pretty excited about finally doing what I always wanted to do. I just hope it keeps going like this!
I was really excited about the big book fair in March, but the first day I went I was already feeling a little sick, and after that night I was fully sick, so no second visit for me. Pisses me off big time, because I missed the manga section completely this time, since I wanted to go on my second day, and I also couldn't replace the cup a bought last time and broke a few months back. It was my main reason to go, and now I have to wait a whole other year... Now I at least know that I will definitively start with the manga section next year, no dice I'm going to live yet another year without a new cup!
Furthermore, I am glad that I seem to find a balance of English and German reads. It's very nice to be back in my own language just as much as I am in my second. Of course I can't be sure, but I think it might have to do with the translation work, too. Anyhoot, it's awesome and I hope it sticks!
As for me catching up on reviews from 2013 like I wanted... Well, I got them almost all done, and I sure know I wouldn't have caught up on so many if I hadn't made a list and the resolution to get them done in the first quarter. Thus, although I didn't get them all done, this is still good for me. =)
Blog Tours/Book Blitz
As part of the Ednah Walters Street Team, thank you As You Wish Tours!
And I am still a thankful YA Bound Tour Host. 😉
I've signed up for four challenges this year! The Witches & Witchcraft Challenge (3 books), the Fangs & Fur Challenge (10 books), Series Reading Challenge (3 Series) and my very own Hard Heart Challenge (12 books). Furthermore, I plan to devulge into my other readng addiction with Manga May.
As it happened, I have already one witch book -- The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, although I think the others will be a bit harder to come by. I read Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi and Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert for my Hard Heart Reading Challenge, which makes two out of three, and I'm almost shocked. With Dark Lover and Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward I have two vamp books, and with Awake at Dawn out of the Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter I have a supernatural mix book with both vamps and weres for the Fangs & Fur Challenge. I think it's a good start, although me and reading series are not getting along so well... again. -.-

!! PREVIEW !!
Well, April is the last month of a task challenge I do on my German blog, so I will have more time again to just pick up what I really feel like. I really, really mean to continue on on some series, so I can get some points for that challenge as well, and of course because I want to find out very badly how they end. 😉
Then in May, I will be having a little reading marathon of manga, and I'm really looking forward to it. =) I really got into it again the lest weeks, so... Yes, I want to spend some time with those stories as well, because one volume cost about as much as a perpback, after all. But that's not all, of course, I just like to have the visual aid sometimes.
Other than that, nothing is planned out for the next months, and I'm sure glad about it. 😉
