Find the strongest man there. Give yourself to him in return for protection. It’s the only way you’ll ever survive.
Convicted of a minor crime, Riana is sentenced to a prison planet—a dark primitive hold filled with convicts vying for power. Her only chance of survival is with Cain, a mysterious loner who has won his territory in the prison through intelligence and brute strength. Sex is all she has to offer, so she uses it. She’s under no delusions here. No one is ever released, and no one ever escapes. Survival is all she can hope for—until Cain.
An earlier version of this book was published under the same title and the penname Zannie Adams. It has since been substantially revised and expanded.

Why I picked this story up:
"Find the strongest man there. Give yourself to him in return for protection." Those to sentences make me tingle all over!! Then the excerpt I got to read made me think this was going to be soooo hot, and I thought the prison setting would be great if I got in the mood for something a little more violent/bloody.
What I found:
Purrrrrfect! I think the best way to tell you how awesome this read was, is by telling you that I read it in one go, unable to put it down even though my eyes were burning, and admitting to reading it again the very next day, first page to last. And I keep on going back to it whenever I feel like I need a read that has good, solid plot, amazeballs characters with heat and feelings and a strong bond if I ever saw one, plus just a spice of sci-fi/paranormal. I'm completely and utterly in love with Cain and Riana!
I don't even want to say anything more, because I don't want to spoil the read in the slightest. It's a real build-up in the feels department, hot all over, and the tension... omg, yes! Cain and Riana have more chemistry than gas and a match, and it's even more amazing since they can't lash out at each other due to their circumstances. So much is going on underneath the surface, shared in a look or a touch instead of words that could be overheard... Yeah, like I said, feels. Lots and lots of feels.
