HEE Summary:

Right here, we can make a long story very short:

Haven's threat was very real. She got hooked on the elixir, really terrifying. As counter measures, Ever trained to defeat her, and helped Jude do the same, although it was clear he wouldn't stand a real chance.

While that is still vage and in the air, Ever distances herself from Damen after watching him delete some cruel scenes from her past lives, wanting to keep them secret. So she wonders what else he'd hide from her. But that's very fitting because Damen has to stay with Stacey, who's now the hated freak of the school after Haven has turned everyone around.

Being uncertain about Damen, Ever feels herself more drawn to Jude again. She wonders if he's actually meant for her, and if it was Damen who just shows up and takes her for himself in every life. Catching them in a close moment, Haven seriously injures Jude and kills Ever. However, Jude is saved by the twins, who bring him into Summerland, successfully regaining their magic; and Ever sees all her previous lives flash before her, and realizes 1000% bullet proof that Damen is indeed her soul mate, so she's no longer second guessing anything, thus overcoming her weakness and saving herself from Forever in Shadowland.

In a second encounter with Haven, Ever is left with no choice but to kill her one time best friend, because she's treathening to kill Jude. Although he's okay with Ever chosing the shirt, with the strain of the antidote on it, over his life, because he only wants her happy, but of course she wouldn't. However, in the fight, the shirt ends up in flames.

But now Ever and Damen are an item again, yet there's one more problem to solve (they still can't touch), and another threat lurking: the darkness that Ever discovered in Summerland seems to be spreading, and she believes it's her fault. Damen is reluctant to let her near it, but an old woman's song is intended for Ever, for sure, and if she can save Sommerland, it might just reward her with the antidote.
