Gabby Morgan isn’t looking for love. Not even a little romance. Following a rocky past that she’d just as soon forget, she’s determined to focus on the future. One that most certainly doesn’t involve the tough-as-nails, short-on-words, hot-as-hell biker…or his kid.

Blake Mahone may not be done with women, but he’s finished with relationships. Then Gabby Morgan enters the picture. She’s flawless, refined, and as his kid’s teacher, way out of his league. She acts like she hates him, but her eyes tell a different story. Before he knows it, Blake finds himself hot for teacher, and he’s more than ready to learn all her secrets. Now all he has to do is convince her to give him a shot…without getting them both killed in the process.

Rogue Chronicles Entry

Why I picked this story up:

Ain't I always game for some kickass biker romance? Plus, there's a kid involved, and I was very much down for that after Wrapped Around Him by Debra Kayn totally rocked me.

What I found:

I think it was aimed to show that Gabby had grit, but I don't know... she was rather stereotypical for the genre, deep down as weak as a leaf in the wind. Blake, on the other hand, the man had some serious balls. If you read some of the harsher MC stories out there, you know it takes guts to turn your back on it all and get the whole club to run legit. Blake did it, and I raise my hat to him for it. The same goes for the way he handles Ash, the kid is just super-cute.

Their romance was nice, quite cute actually, but it wasn't giving me the feels. The plotline was pretty good, although not all too re-inventive of it all. I was surprised to find some blood in there, since everything else was rather mellow for a biker book.
