Me, my Shelf, and I is my version of a weekly recap post, and also a feature to tell you more about myself.
ME ... equanimity?
Definition: "mental or emotional stability or composure, especially under tension or strain; calmness; equilibrium"
That's not a simple yes or no. I tend to freak out over nothing, because I'm a very moody person, but it's something I like about myself. However, in a real crisis, I tend to keep my emotions in check while my mind and heart are working a mile aminute, and work through it somehow, and I am definitvely calmer if someone else can do the freaking out part for me.
I just read three review books one after another, and now I feel kinda beat. That was a lot of pressure, and I didn't even finish the last one in time, but I decided not to beat myself up over it since reading is first and formorst supposed to be fun, not work, so I post my review a few days late. Who cares?
Now it's on to The Winter People by Rebekah Purdy, so I have that review done in time, too. And after that, some German reads are on my radar.
Planned posts for this week:
Monday: Review of Flawed
Wednesday: Waiting on Wednesday #105
Thursday: Swoon for Flawed
Friday: HEE of Flawed
Sunday: Me, my Shelf, and I
Oh and if any of you reading this haven't read about Ashley's project LitRate, then please have a look here and consider to support it. Many of us are really looking forward to this!
... was and am busy with many family guest. Last week a huge celebration with my boyfriend's family, which is why I missed my post, and this weekend my extended family is gathering for a get-together. so I'm prepping the post this time, but that I means I can't tell you if the evening was enjoyable or just plain boring. ^^
... am struggling with headaches again lately. I think it's because I missed alot of workouts. As of last week, I picked up on them again. However, despite missing my workouts and eating alot of cake, I still managed to lose another pund. Yay!
The week of the missed post, I also had a college friend visiting (Alesha whos doing the German blog with me), I hadn't seen her in about one and a half year, we've only skyped. We didn't do much like sightseeing or something, but we enjoyed each other's company and did lots of bookish things together. It was amazing and now I miss her even more then before! T.T I hope we can get together again sooner rather than later.
