Me, my Shelf, and I is my version of a weekly recap post, and also a feature to tell you more about myself.
ME ... flibbertigibbet?
Definition: "a chattering or flighty, light-headed person; a gossip"
(OMG, a totally awesome word. Just look at it! Have to make use of that!)
OMG, no. No, no, no, no, no. I HATE gossip. I don't read or listen to gossip which is why I am never up to date on anything in the VIP department. So if I manage to stumble upon something that's sorta of interest to me, then go to my few girlfriends and tell them, they are always like, "Oh, that. Yeah, I knew that. Totally old news, like three weeks ago."
But I also don't gossip myself. Learned that lesson the hard way in elementary school, and have been very selective about my close cirle of friends ever since. I don't spill secrets, I don't judge actions behind people's backs. I say if I think something's shitty, which earned me alot of incredulous looks of "How can you say that? You're supposed to like it!" and an angry mother now and then, but I have been told by the people who matter that my honest and uncensored mouth is my best trait. =)
That there on the right is the German edition of Sam Bowring's The Legacy of Lord Regret, which I found in book stores two weeks ago, wanted it, and so I traded a copy to not violate my book ban. I also traded the 6th installment of the Laura series by Peter Freund, because I borrowed mine to someone and now it's lost, so I got myself a 2nd hand replacement in order to have them all on my shelf again.

... had an uneventful week, safe for Tuesday. Tuesday was August 19, and it marked our 7th year anniversary. I can hardly believe it's already been that long. Time just flew by, and now we're past the magically "jinxed 7th year", as we like to say over here. Well, that was it. I can't even say it totally stood out or something. We were out eating Italian, where I had the best Tiramisu of my life yet, had some good laughs, and I was just so relieved that we really, really spent quality time together; it'd been a while.
