Me, my Shelf, and I is my version of a weekly recap post, and also a feature to tell you more about myself.

ME ... rapt?

Definition: "deeply engrossed or absorbed"

I wonder if any reader does NOT know the feeling of getting totally engrossed in a good story? I most certainly do. I also get absorbed in work or writing. I even have phases where I lay around with my eyes closed and think up stories, unable to concentrate on anything else. I also get rapt by good movies, and by music when I'm in a good mood. Most certainly, I get totally lost when puzzling. ^.^

my Shelf

My reading list for September:

gray-moon-rising

I want to finish the Shatter Me series, so I get points for a challenge. Airel is from Netgalley, and The Wilds was a review request by author Jules Hedger. That's a lot of paranormal / fantasy, so I think I'll be reading a German thriller along with those. 😉

and I

... got a present from my beloved, just so, because he loves me. He got me this red beauty as a 1000 piece puzzle. I love puzzles. And I love warrior girls!

What do you think? Doesn't she look gorgeous next to her sister? There's another one, too, a blond woman in a blue ballgown Venize masque style on blue background, but I can't find a picture of her anywere, and I don't remember the company. Anyway, I can't wait to piece my new girl together and then put her on the wall! =) But it's gotta wait until summer is really, inavertably over.

... went to my hair dresser yesterday. Gosh, it's been forever! Now my coloring is all fresh, and I'm good to go again for a few months. =) She told me her cat is sick and might have to be put down. =( She got that hyper little furball back when we were still in school together, and I still remember he played with my bra once when I slept over, and then I only had one strap left the next morning, and I had to go to school like that. 9 years, geez... We're slowly getting old.

  1. Hiya,
Love the jigsaw puzzle! Also forgot to ask when I was at your place, how to you get the jigsaws into the frames? Are they glued to something or how does it work? I'm getting tired of doing the same ones every year and at least one of them I'd love having up on my wall.
Yes, we are definitely getting old. I watched some stupid casting show on TV last night (mum wanted to see it and I didn't want to sit in my room on my own). At one point they were interviewing a group of 16-year-old girls and all I could think was 'Kids are so stupid, good think I never wanted to be on TV at that age, I'd be mortified for life!' XD
    *hugs*

    1. You can get puzzle glue basically everywhere they sell puzzles. So you glue the pieces together, but not onto a surface (but it's best if you put newspaper underneath just in case), and then you can transport it carefully under a frame, just like a poster or picture. =)
      *hugs back*
