Coyote Ugly reloaded! If you know/remember the story of Violet moving from her 2-square hometown in New Jersey to NYC in order to fulfill her dream to become a song writer after she beats her stage fright with a pit stop in the dance bar Coyote Ugly, you pretty much have the story of Ali escaping her crappy life in order to make a singing/dancing career in LA. She finds the bar Burlesque, the life and home of legend Tess, and asks for a job but is refused at first, so she starts waitressing without permission. However, this way she's there when the team is in desperate need of a replacement...
What can I say? I thought it was a good remake, a good choice to do it with the more popular cast. Cher and Christina both rocked. Plus, I think they are rather good actresses. And then there's Stanley Tucci, which I love as an actor! The whole plot in itself wasn't really new or anything, but seriously, I think you watch a movie like that one mostly for the music and the dacing and the show, and I liked that for the most part. Having Cher and Christine Aguilera in this, with their awesomely rough and powerful, well trained voices, was perfect.
