Based on the manhwa by Min-Woo Hyung.
The powerful fighters known as Priests are no longer needed since the last vampires were sealed into reservations years ago, the surviving people were jammed together into large cities, while most parts of the land are no longer able to support life, and the world is at peace under the rule of The Church.
Then a Priest is called out of hiding by sheriff Hicks because the Priest's brother Owen and his wife Shannon were killed - by vampires - and their girl, Lucy, was kidnapped. However, The Church refuses to let him go look for her, because the war is over. As the Priest and Hicks move out against orders, more Priests are sent to hunt them down, and now they have to fight on two fronts - and they are running out of time.
I'm about to love Paul Bettany just as much as Anja does. x) I couldn't do anything but love this for the action and the characters; this was an awesome cast for a second rate movie! And I don't mean second rate in a degrading way, just that it didn't get soo famous. Really, it was an exciting journey, intoxicatingly dynamic, with just a chunk of everything without actually getting the action part all mushy with the love and drama. And those vampires, they looked awesome! Plus, I love this even more because it's based on a manhwa. 😉
