Set in 1849, it is a fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, in which the poet and author pursues a serial killer whose murders mirror those in Poe's stories.
The title derives from Poe's poem The Raven.
I was forced to venture there! For that, it was okay, but for all the mystery and blood and curelty of it, it missed either the striking sets/actors or the humor moments. It was kinda like the Sherlock Holmes movies, but way more serious and bloody, and I have to say a little less entertaining for that matter. Of course you wanted to know who was behind it all, and you get to pick up some clues just like Sherlock Holmes always does, but it just... it didn't strike me. It was too... anonymous the whole time. And for all the drama of the end, that didn't strike me either. I thought it was sad, but it was just an observation, I wasn't really touched, leave alone devastated by it.
