Summary: Young Carl Fredricksen is a huge fan of explorer Charles F. Muntz who is accused of feigning a discovered sceleton at the Paradise Falls, Venezuela. He meets tomboy Ellie, who's a fan and explorer as well. They share the dream to one day live at Paradise Falls, but something always seems to get in the way. They grow old together, and when Ellie dies, Carl is expected to move out of their house and into a retirement home. As he intends to fly - along with and in his house - to Paradise Falls, he accidentially takes young boy scout Russell along who'd been knocking on his door the day before, straining his nerves. But their shared adventure in the quest to plant the house atop Paradise Falls, they become very special friends.
This movie started very cute, then got kinda sad, but then the action started - and with that the fun came. The real fun. First the annoyance, also known as Russell, then the crazy chocolate-loving bird, and then the talking dogs. I laughed really, really hard during this one. Of course it was nice to see it wasn't just funny, but had a action and quite a serious-about-life side to it as well. It was perfect for slacking of a little, but I think it's also quite educational for children, kinda like a fairy tale. =) I'd definitively recommend it, and I'm probably gonna watch it some time again.
