Area Info

It was supposed to be a fun day, shopping at the mall with her best friend. Then the panic attack started and Kaylee Cavanaugh finds herself screaming, unable to stop. Her secret fears are exposed and it's the worst day of her life.
Until she wakes up in the psychiatric unit.
She tries to convince everyone she's fine--despite the shadows she sees forming around another patient and the urge to scream which comes burbling up again and again. Everyone thinks she's crazy. Everyone except Lydia, that is. Another patient with some special abilities...

Rogue Chronicles Entry No. 19

At first I though there couldn't be made much use of a prequel, but boy was I wrong! The whole thing of Kaylee being stuck into the psychiciatric unit had me dumbfounded as it was, because that was something new. And I thought it was totally off scale once it was revealed that they'd known there was absolutely no need to send her there! I'd be so out of that family if that'd happened to me!

But now, to the events amongst the crazy: Lydia had me curious from the first moment that Kaylee caught sight of her. I mean, she clearly didn't fit into the unit either. Thus, I tried reading between the lines to get clues about her before Kaylee might catch on to her, but there really wasn't anything until the very end. But that was heavy, and I am harboring the strong hope that she will appear in the regular story as well. I mean, she has to, right? With that ability? She didn't die, right? Right?! Noooo, I don't want her to be dead. She could be a key figure in the story! Oh please, I want her to be!!

  1. I didn't even know there was a Soul Screamers 0.5!!! I've read the first, but it was so long ago, I'd have to go back and read it again before starting the series! I really enjoyed the first book so maybe I'll start with this and read right through.

Thanks for stopping by, my sweet! =D
