Rylie survived becoming a werewolf at great cost. She moves to her aunt’s ranch in the hopes she can enroll in a new high school and quietly continue her life... with a few distinct changes. She transforms into a beast every new and full moon and struggles to control her murderous urges.

Without many werewolves left, it’s hard to stay in hiding. A family of hunters -- Eleanor, Abel, and Seth -- recognize the signs and follow Rylie to her new home. They want to stop her before she murders someone, and the only way to do it is with a silver bullet. Seth soon realizes the werewolf is Rylie, the one monster he failed to kill. Worse yet, he’s still in love with her.

Torn between family and love, Rylie struggles to reconcile her feelings and control the wolf within while Seth fights to do what’s right. But what is right-- obeying desire or duty?

Rogue Chronicles Entry No. 130

This didn't read as smooth as the first one, but the plot was still pretty good. This time, I got a good look at Seth's inner workings, and I liked what I saw. He was a good guy, and it becomes clear that he may have started to help Rylie for his own gain, but that he did fall in love with her.

Just like in the first installment, this was lots more of action than it was romance, but it did have a few cute moments, just like it had very well dramatic ones. Also just like in Six Moon Summer, the plotline was simple but very effective due to very good characters to play the parts. Both Eleanor and Abel, as well as Rylie's aunt Gwyn, fit perfectly into their roles. Gwyn stern and level-headed, like her nice. Abel as a rather typical big brother type, but I'm not totally sure about all his true colors just yet -- he's a conflicted one. And then there's Eleanor who I'd outright categorize as crazy and obsessive. She was that creepy kind of badass which makes a very good villain.
