It’s been almost a year since Rylie Gresham was bitten by a werewolf on Gray Mountain. Now something is beckoning her back to the place she was attacked, along with every other werewolf in the world. But they aren’t the only ones heeding the call. A group of hunters notices them gathering and sees it as their chance to wipe out the entire species.

Seth is about to graduate high school when he learns of the final hunt. He secretly plans to save Rylie and his werewolf brother even though he has to play along with the hunters to do it. But Rylie doesn’t want to be saved. She’s already decided to solve her problems with a silver bullet if answers aren’t waiting on Gray Mountain.

One way or another, everything is about to end—whether it means Rylie’s liberation or the end of her life…

Rogue Chronicles Entry No. 148

Just like the previous installments, Gray Moon Rising followed along a nice silver lining, and knew how to balance plot, character development, and some romance. After the shock at the end of the last installment, I wasn't sure what to expect of this, but I was glad that Rylie had to fall first before she could rise, especially the way she did. I also felt this had the strongest paranormal elements, probably because it clashed so strongly with all the hunter equiment.

The love triangle didn't happen, not really, and I was glad it didn't. Not that I thought SM Reine could ruin this story for the life of her, but I think it gives extra character to it, because it didn't explore the option just because it was there, you know. I really liked how each brother symbolizes a part of her, one the wolf and the other the human side, and her choice reflects that Rylie doesn't think herself above humans as a wolf, not even as an Alpha. I guess that's what makes her such a good leader, and I am looking forward to see her again in the sequel series, Cain Chronicles, where she will have to live up to that name. I'm curious what SM Reine has cooked up for that series, because as I understand it, there is only this one wolf pack... Well, we'll see. ^^
