Read First: April 29, 2015 | Snuck from: Amazon (bought)I sneak out of my room every night. My father's guards don't see me.
No one sees me, except him.
He's the son of a foot soldier. My father is his boss. The boss. I shouldn't even know Giovanni. And I definitely shouldn't kiss him. Our relationship is doomed to fail, but that won't stop me from being with him.
Not every girl wants to be a princess. I just want to be free.
Rogue Chronicles Entry No. 163
I have to say, I expected Clara to be older, a young woman of 20-something, and Gio to be much older, a man with a skillset, a harsh past, and maybe some regrets, who is letting her actually slip off the estate at night to live a little -- not a teen couple who steal a few moments to themselves.
Regardless of my expectations, Gio and Clara were really cute, more sensual than sexual due to their tender age, and I can't help but hope that they will see each other again one day, unlikely as it is. It'd be like a real fairytale. It's so bittersweet -- tearing them apart, so they might one day find each other again, and maybe there's still enough of that sweet love left for them to start again... Gosh, I'm such a hopeless romantic, aren't I? x)
Actually, Tough Love is just an extra long teaser with enough of a glimpse at the horror Honor and Clara are running from in the series, and now I really can't wait to devour Love the Way You Lie. Since I've only seen "I" and "Me" so far in an excerpt of book one, I don't even know which of the sisters is going to tell her story -- I'm guessing Honor, since she's the older one, but it could be either.

I hardly ever read shorties before, but I am finding them to be a nice way to read something quick when I am having a hard time figuring out what to read next. I will have to add this to my list for those occasions. Thanks for the review.
