Summary: Street dancer Tyler breakes into Maryland School of Arts together with his best friend Mac and his little brother Skinny, and they destroy a stage. A guard shows up, and Tyler lets himself get caught so the others can get away. Convicted to 200 hours of social service to the school, he first works as an assistant for the janitor. While working, dancer Nora catches his eye, working hard for her final performance at the end of the school year. Then, her partner Andrew is hurt and she needs to find a replacement. Tyler offers to train with her, in exchange for his janitor duties. Tyler always loved to dance, but actually working this hard for a perfomance is a new experience for him, and the more time his spends with his new loves - dancing and Nora - the more his friend Mac feels betrayed. After Mac and Tyler have a fall out, things seem to escalate as Andrew is back on his feet and can train with Nora again. Will Tyler, for the first time in his life, step up and fight for want he wants?
I love dance movies, and this was pretty much the same as my favorite, Save the Last Dance. It may be the same from the story, but it's not the same music, so I really enjoyed watching it, but I think it's really only something for fans of this kind of stuff, otherwise it's pretty ordinary and predictable. I still loved it. ^^
