I've read so many teasers and such about this book it was impossible not to read it without certain expectations. Lucky me, I wasn't disappointed. The style was something new to me, and it is certainly not to everyones taste, but I enjoyed it after I got into the story. It made the whole story quite intense, made the characters seem very alive and human. Plotwise it was interesting, but nothing shockingly new, except for the ending. Yet, I liked the 'uninteresting' first 3/4 of the story more because I felt closer to Juliette, and when the shock bubble burst and everything got quite pink, I found it a good development for the story, but it didn't quite touch my heart. I missed the intensity of confusion that has become Juliette through the whole book, it was like she had lost her vivid color. Nontheless, I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series, hoping that it will be as good as this one was in the beginning.

Quotes I liked:
Hate looks like everybody else until it smiles.
"Killing time isn't as difficult as it sounds. I can shoot a hundred numbers through the chest and watch them bleed decimal points in the palm of my hand. I can rip the numbers off a clock and watch the hour hand tick tick tick its final tock just before I fall asleep. I can suffocate seconds just by holding my breath. I've been murdering minutes for hours and no one seems to mind."
"It's been me and you against the world forever," he says. "It's always been that way."
Truth is a jealous, vicious mistress that never, ever sleeps.
