Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It's awful. If I'm on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and somebody asks me where I'm going, I'm liable to say I'm going to the opera. It's terrible.
~ J.D. Salinger: The Catcher in the Rye (pg. 14)
I'm reading this for my thesis, and boy do I hate it. At first, I thought Holden could be an interesting guy, but by now he is going on my nerves big time, and up til now (I'm half done) nothing of interest has happened. I'm beginning to doubt that book contains anything interesting at all, and -- no offense -- who reads that stuff more than once, or dares to call it a favorite?
