"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Title: Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
Series: Between 1
Author: April Genevieve Tucholke

Language: English
Publisher: Dial
Expected Publication: August 15, 2013

Summary:

You stop fearing the devil when you’re holding his hand…
Nothing much exciting rolls through Violet White’s sleepy, seaside town… until River West comes along. River rents the guesthouse behind Violet’s crumbling estate, and as eerie, grim things start to happen, Violet begins to wonder about the boy living in her backyard. Is River just a crooked-smiling liar with pretty eyes and a mysterious past? Or could he be something more? Violet’s grandmother always warned her about the Devil, but she never said he could be a dark-haired boy who takes naps in the sun, who likes coffee, who kisses you in a cemetery... who makes you want to kiss back. Violet’s already so knee-deep in love, she can’t see straight. And that’s just how River likes it.

Why I am lurking on this: I don't feel like I have to explain anything regarding this one. Holding the Devil's hand? Hell, yeah.

  1. Hehe, nope, no explanation needed. I have this and I've been wanting to read it ever since I first heard about it. I've been making myself hold off though to concentrate on books that release sooner, but it's torture. Especially when anyone who's already read it says how great it is. *sigh* Hope you love it when you get your own copy!

  3. Want want want want want!!! God I've been pining for this one before it even had a cover >.< It just sound sooooo good and since my ARC requests were fruitless, I'm so glad I only have to wait another month or so. I hope we'll both end up loving it!
Thanks for stopping by yesterday 🙂
