"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Title: City of Heavenly Fire
Series: Mortal Instruments 6
Author: Cassandra Clare

Language: English
Expected Publication: May 27, 2014

Summary:

ΕRCHOMAI, Sebastian had sad.
I am coming.
Darkness returns to the Shadowhunter world. As their society falls apart around them, Clary, Jace, Simon and their friends must band together to fight the greatest evil the Nephilim have ever faced: Clary’s own brother. Nothing in the world can defeat him — must they journey to another world to find the chance? Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world changed in the sixth and last installment of the Mortal Instruments series!

Why I am looking forward to this: As a lover of this series since the second book was out, I cannot wait -- just like so many others -- to have the final installment in my hands, to dive in and explore and see it all come to an end. I'll most likely cry coz I have to say goodbye to the story and the characters, but there's more about the Shadowhunter world out there which I haven't explored yet, but... that's still not going to be the same.

    1. I also think that the first three books in itself would've made for a good trilogy, but I also enjoyed how it goes on. I try to view the two a seperate trilogies, it makes me feel better. ^^

  1. YAY! I can't wait for this either! It feels like we've been waiting forever for City of Heavenly Fire! I'm pretty sure this is going to be a very emotional ride since CC let slip that an important character dies very early on... *sobs*
Great pick! May better hurry up and get here!

    1. Oh, shit, really? I didn't know someone was supposed to die! I try not to involve myself with anything to get me spoilered and/or excited, because I think if you get your hopes up too high, you always get disappointed somehow. I hope I have forgotten about this little tidbit by the time I pick it up and dive in... which is very likely, thank goodness. x)
